Tee-2-Green Corp. has expanded its bentgrass offering with the introduction of Alister, the company’s first colonial bentgrass. The company acquired rights to distribute Alister colonial bentgrass from Pure-Seed Testing, Inc.
"We’ve been looking to introduce a colonial bentgrass into our mix for some time," said Bill Rose, president. "Alister lives up to the high standards expected from Tee-2-Green, so it is the perfect addition to our product line-up."
Alister colonial bentgrass is guaranteed to be free of both crop seed and weed seed and, unlike other colonial bentgrasses, features brightened color. It exhibits solid winter growth and stays greener longer, even in poor light. The variety is also recognized for improved leaf spot and take-all patch resistance.
The variety fits the current market, which blends bentgrass with fine fescue for dunes type courses. Alister is not as aggressive as creeping bentgrass, which enables it to co-exist with fine fescue or thrive under low maintenance habits used on such courses.
For a limited time, Tee-2-Green is offering a free quarter pound of Alister colonial bentgrass to potential customers. Contact http://www.tee-2-green.com, 800-547-0255.
