Real Golf Radio expands

SALT LAKE CITY, UT - Real Golf Radio can now be heard in San Francisco and the nine-county Bay area on Talk 910, KNEW and ESPN 1380 in St. Louis.

Real Golf Radio, formerly known as The Fairways & Greens Radio Network, continues to expand its audience and increase its affiliates. Hosted by Brian Taylor and Bob Casper, son of Hall of Fame golfer, Billy Casper, Real Golf Radio is penetrating the country, delivering unprecedented coverage of the world of golf on the radio.

Talk 910 KNEW in San Francisco is a 20,000-watt signal covering the nine-county bay area, and is one of the hottest talk stations in San Francisco. The station is just under a year old, but includes a popular weekly lineup of hosts such as Bill O’Reilly, Glenn Beck, Michael Savage and Phil Hendrie. The core demo of men 25-54 has a strong golf presence as evidenced by successful weekly golf promotions. Real Golf Radio will certainly add to the growing success of the station.

1380 ESPN, St. Louis’ sports station will air Real Golf Radio Saturdays from 3-5pm central.
Real Golf Radio airs live on Saturday morning from 6-8am MDT from Salt Lake City to affiliates that includes, 50,000-watt Mighty 1090 in San Diego (coverage includes Orange Co, L.A., Riverside, Santa Barbara), Austin, TX, Salt Lake City, UT, St. George, UT, Albuquerque, NM, and around the world on The Armed Forces Radio Network. Other affiliates will soon be announced as Real Golf Radio continues to expand. The show can also be heard via the World Wide Web at www.realgolfradio.com as well as stations websites who stream their programming.

Real Golf Radio is a two-hour weekly show that focuses on the major golf Tours, the latest from equipment manufacturers and the lifestyle of golfers. Brian and Bob welcome weekly guests, Sal Johnson from www.golfobserver.com and “The Caddie” who caddies for a top player on the PGA Tour, but remains anonymous for entertainment purposes.

There even seems to be some good “Casper Karma” that comes to those Tour players who join Real Golf Radio, as documented in a feature article on www.golfonline.com earlier this year after Todd Hamilton joined the show and won his first PGA Tour event, The Honda Classic. Hamilton also joined Brian and Bob again following his British Open victory at Royal Troon, capping off a packed week that included appearances with David Letterman and Jay Leno.

Sponsors of the show include Fujikura Composites, Burrows Golf, Lamkin Grips, The Perfect Club and Golf Mesquite, Nevada, among others.

Real Golf Radio broadcasts live from every major championship on the PGA Tour in the U.S. as well as several other events throughout the year. For more information on Real Golf Radio, visit their website, www.realgolfradio.com.
