According to Sizemore, the new center shafted XM-1 and XM-2 mallets were designed to compliment the bold parallel and perpendicular facets of the interchangeable putter head which feature the first revolutionary advancement in modern putter design, AIM™, Alignment Insert Management. This patented and cutting edge technology sets a new standard in putter performance. It allows players to choose their alignment preference as well as optimize their speed and distance control with a set of interchangeable weighted end caps. It also sports a triangular shaped mallet head with pronounced copper rail sight lines designed specifically for easy customization.
“The center shafted XM-1 was used to sink a 10-foot putt and claim the BJ’s Charity Championship last month,” states Sizemore. “We work closely with the Tour when developing product. These two models are a direct manifestation of that. In fact, as a designer I typically shy away from center shafted putters but after the development of these two models, they are the #1 putters in my bag and on the LPGA,” adds Sizemore.
As with the entire Sizemore Collection the Sizemore XM-1 features pure copper inserts that are cross-milled in twenty-seven (27) different directions. It is then finished in a Sizemore signature geometric pattern with exceptionally fine spacing. This patented and state-of-the art IND-X™ process produces the flattest, most accurate face finish possible.
This astonishingly flat surface guarantees optimal reliability with a uniquely true response on all points of the putter face. Even outside of the normal “sweet spot”, the cross-milled face finish ensures a true roll and does not deflect a ball off-line as with other milled surfaces.
Both the XM-1 and XM-2 interchangeable mallet putters has met or surpassed Bruce Sizemore’s Total Club Approach or TCA. It is this premise on which he develops and designs every putter.
