GCSAA/Golf Digest Environmental Leaders in Golf Awards applications

Applications for the 2007 GCSAA/Golf Digest Environmental Leaders in Golf Awards are now available to members at http://www.gcsaa.org/resources/awards/elga/elga.asp.

The ELGAs, presented in partnership with Syngenta Professional Products and Rain Bird Corp., Golf Division, recognize superintendents and golf courses for their commitment to environmental stewardship in the areas of resource conservation, water quality management, integrated pest management, wildlife/habitat management and education/outreach. Applications are due Oct. 13, 2007.

An overall winner will be selected from the national and international winners in the public, private and resort-course categories. Those not selected as national or international categories are still eligible for chapter and merit awards. Winners will be recognized through a news release, in Golf Course Management and Golf Digest magazines and at the 2008 GCSAA Education Conference and Golf Industry Show in Orlando.
