PrideSports announces capturing two wins and field domination

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Heading into this week’s 89th PGA Championship, where PrideSports is the defending cleat count champion, the #1 cleat company on TOUR captured both events on the PGA Tour this past weekend, with leaderboard and field domination at both the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational and the Reno-Tahoe Open.

At the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, nearly two-thirds of the field utilized PrideSports’ products, including 7 out of the top 10 finishers wearing Softspikes. At the Reno-Tahoe Open, 10 out of the top 10 finishers utilized PrideSports' products, including a majority of the field.

PrideSports' products include Pulsar™ cleats – the #1 Cleat on TOUR, Pride Golf Tees – the #1 wooden golf tee on TOUR, Fast-Twist™ – the #1 cleat system on TOUR and Black Widow™ – the #1 selling golf cleat in the world.

Heading into the 2007 PGA Championship, and since the Darrell Survey began tracking cleat surveys in 1996, PrideSports products, including its Softspikes-brand, have led the field in usage at 43 consecutive major championships.

PrideSports was formed in January 2003 following Pride Manufacturing Company’s purchase of Softspikes, Inc., and its sister company Trisport, Ltd. of England. This acquisition essentially formed the world’s premier golf accessories company, as Pride and Softspikes are the world’s leading golf tee and golf cleat lines, respectively. Today, PrideSports is the world leader in the design and manufacture of cleats, spikes and receptacles for the entire golf footwear industry.
