Nike Golf Tour Staff member Tiger Woods displayed absolute domination at the World Golf Championships - Bridgestone Invitational, proven by his stunning eight-stroke victory and number one ranking in both driving distance and greens in regulation. His impressive bogey-free final round performance gives him a positive prelude into next week’s PGA Championship, the final major championship on the PGA Tour.
Woods WGC-Bridgestone Invitational Highlights
· Using Nike Golf’s SasQuatch Tour driver and Nike One Platinum ball, Woods average 335 yards in driving distance for a number one ranking during the week. His longest drive of the tournament measured 386 yards.
· With the support of his Nike Blades, Woods ranked first in the field in greens in regulation averaging 72.2%. He was 4-under-par on the par 3’s for the week.
· In the final round, Woods quickly distanced himself from the field after picking up five strokes in the first five holes.
· His WGC-Bridgestone Invitational victory marks the second time Woods has strung together three straight victories at this World Championship, and he continued his dominance in WGC events by winning 14 times in 25 tries.
