adidas Golf has introduced a revolutionary new category of product called TechFit PowerWeb, designed to reduce muscle fatigue and improve endurance on the golf course.
This technology, which will be available in long- and short-sleeve tops as well as shorts, promotes strength, speed and endurance through its advanced streamlined fit that hugs every contour of the body. The garments are marked by a network of Thermoplastic Urethane (TPU) power bands that are strategically placed to support key area of the body, including the back, thighs and abdominal muscles.
"It keeps the body aligned upright, keeps you from slouching," says Tiss Dahan, global director of apparel for adidas Golf. “In golf, you need support in the abdomen. It helps keep you centered, which generates more power.”
First introduced into soccer and other Olympic sports, TechFit PowerWeb is made of 75-percent polyester and 25-percent Lycra. adidas’s trademark ClimaCool fabric delivers moisture wicking and ventilation for improved airflow and increased comfort.
“Once again, this shows our commitment to making golfers perform better on the golf course,” Dahan says. TechFit PowerWeb will be launched on March 15 and will retail for $75 for tops and $70 for bottoms.
