First Las Vegas Paiute Amateur Golf Classic begins this weekend

Recognized with several, high caliber industry awards and one of the few international golf destinations that offers three championship courses, The Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort presents this inaugural event, where twenty-five percent of the field will receive prizes, to take place Sunday and Monday, September 2 and 3, 2007.

What:

The Annual Las Vegas Paiute Amateur Golf Classic, will offer three flights, each with two divisions, on the Sun Mountain course, which shines at 7,112 total yards and is hailed as a golfer’s favorite because of the edge of nature views and more remote location away from the resort’s interior. The Men’s Flight will have both net and gross divisions and will be for ages 18-49. The Women’s Flight will have both net and gross divisions and will be for ages 18 and over. The Seniors Flight, which is men only, will have both net and gross divisions and will be for ages 50 and over. Twenty-five percent of the field will receive prizes. USGA handicaps are required. Awards ceremony will follow immediately after day of play on Monday, September 3, 2007.

Where:

The Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort, 10325 Nu-Wav Kaiv Boulevard, Las Vegas, NV 89124. The resort is 20 miles northwest of downtown Las Vegas. Take Exit #95 Snow Mountain off of the US 95 North, bear right, and follow the paved road leading to the resort just east of the highway.

When:

Sunday, September 2, 2007 and Monday, September 3, 2007. Tee times will be from 7:30 am to 9:30am both days. Practice rounds will be available on Saturday, September 1, 2007 after 1:30pm on the Sun Mountain course.

Entry Fee:

General Public is $125 per person and Paiute Advantage Club Card (PACC) Members is $100 per person. Both entry fees include greens fees, cart fee, and GPS, in addition to, lunch on both days of play, Sunday and Monday. The practice rounds on Saturday will be available for $30 per person.
