Zimbabwe's Denis Watson, who snapped a 23-year victory drought in a major championship, will be the focus as Golf Channel features the highlights of a memorable 68th Senior PGA Championship, Tuesday, July 24, at 8 p.m. EDT.
The Championship, the oldest and most prestigious in senior golf, was conducted May 24-27, at The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island, Golf Resort in Kiawah Island, S.C.
Watson made his first appearance in the Senior PGA Championship, earning a two-stroke victory over Argentina's Romero, while his childhood friend Nick Price of South Africa finished three strokes back. Watson became the first international-born Senior PGA Champion since 1990, when South Africa's Gary Player won the last of his three titles.
The Championship, which featured 36 international players representing 14 countries, also included PGA Professional Jeff Coston of Blaine, Wash., the reigning Callaway Golf Senior PGA Professional National Champion, who was the low finisher among 35 PGA Professionals in the field.
