Town Talk Headwear renews its deal with Golf Retirement Plus

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. -- Town Talk Headwear, which for more than 80 years has elevated its product and service to be a leader in the headwear industry, has renewed its supporting partnership of Golf Retirement Plus™ .

Town Talk was founded in 1919, with five employees and a desire to earn its reputation as a manufacturer of the highest quality headwear available. Through the years, from Little League baseball caps to military fatigue caps, from chauffeur to painter's caps, and today with golf caps and visors, straw hats and "Hogans," the company has successfully marketed a wide range of products.

Town Talk continues to address the special needs of a diverse customer base in today's sports and leisure industry. Yet, the company's original goal has never wavered during more than 80 years – the Town Talk brand has always been associated with the highest quality of headwear available.

"The PGA of America is proud to have Town Talk, a fixture in the headwear industry, continue its supporting partnership in Golf Retirement Plus," said PGA of America President Brian Whitcomb. "Town Talks' top level of service and quality product line is recognized by our member professionals at their facilities nationwide."

From its beginning, Town Talk has been a family-owned and operated company. Owner and CEO Wayne Joplin entered the business in 1959, and became sole owner in 1989. Since that time, Joplin's entire family, and some of their spouses, has been employed by Town Talk. Today, the fourth generation of the family is involved in the daily operation and management of the company.

"Town Talk is honored to once again be a Supporting Partner of Golf Retirement Plus," said Town Talk Headwear President Joel Gary. "We have delivered quality headwear products to PGA Professionals for many years, and now to provide a better life to our customers after their careers are over is our way of saying ‘Thank You,' for your loyalty and support."
