QUICK FACTS
• The Rolex Tournament of Champions is a 72-hole stroke play invitational event. There will be a cut in both divisions Wednesday, July 4 after 36 holes.
• The Rolex Tournament of Champions is the longest-running event on the AJGA schedule, dating back to 1978.
• Twenty-seven states are represented in the Rolex Tournament of Champions. Canada, Japan and Mexico are also represented in the tournament field.

• Phil Mickelson’s victory in 1988 set the record for most wins at the Rolex Touranment of Champions with three. James Oh (1999-2000), Tommy Brown (1980-81), Kellee Booth (1993, 1990) and Beth Bauer (1994, 1995) are the only other juniors to capture more than one victory at this yearly event.

MEDIA ACCOMMODATIONS
The AJGA is prepared to make covering the Rolex Tournament of Champions an enjoyable experience. Whether it be on-site
professional communications staff or timely results, the AJGA is ready to honor all media requests. At the event, the AJGA will provide:

• Information about the tournament and its participants leading up to the event
• Assistance with player interviews before, during and after the tournament
• A golf cart to make covering the tournament as easy as possible
• Assistance locating players on the course
• A recap with results after each tournament round in a timely manner

During the week of the tournament, the AJGA will have six communications representatives on hand to assist the media. These media officials will write an AP style recap and produce agate results each tournament day. These will then be faxed and/or e-mailed to all media outlets. Interviews with AJGA Tournament Directors, Tournament Chairmen and juniors can be conducted before/after every round.

The AJGA Web site, ajga.org, is a tremendous media resource. The tournament Web site, which is linked from the AJGA homepage, includes recaps, results, list of participants, tee times, live scoring, scorecards and sponsor information.
