Vijay Singh was named PGA Tour Player of the Month for March, the second time he has copped the award in what is shaping up as a great 2007 for the Fijian star.
The Player of the Month nod was Singh's 11 in his Hall of Fame career. He also won the prestigious honor in January.
Singh's award-winning month was highlighted by his victory at the Arnold Palmer Invitational in Orlando, Fla. He carded twin 67s in the final two rounds to win his his second Tour even of the season and the 31stof his career.
Singh crafted two other top-20 showings in March, finishing tied for 19th at the PODS Championship and tied for 11th at the WGC-CA Championship. Singh finished tied for 13th at the Masters earlier this month.
The 44-year-old Singh, a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame and a former world No. 1 player, leads the FedEx Cup race with 12,361 points, 263 points ahead of second-place Tiger Woods. On the money list Singh is No. 2 with $2,884,400, behind Woods' $3,008,391.
With his Verizon Heritage victory, Boo Weekley jumped 60 places in the official World Golf Rankings, from 115 to 55.
On the women's side, Brittany Lincicome's second career LPGA victory moved her up 10 spots to No 12 in the latest Rolex Rankings. Annika Sorenstam holds a slim edge over Lorena Ochoa for the top spot, but with Sorenstam missing time with a sore back that will likely change in the near future.

Davis Love III, who played the final 57 holes of the Children's Miracle Network Classic without a bogey, finished at 25-under 263 in the season-ending event played at the Walt Disney World Golf Resort in Florida. It has been a long road back for Love, who severely sprained his ankle late last year. After tearing ligaments, he needed surgery, and he's spent much of this year rehabilitating the injury.
