Darovansky Dvur Resort: Challenging Czech golf courses west of PragueDarovansky Dvur Resort
Web site: www.darovanskydvur.cz Under the guidance of designers Kamil Pilat and Chris Johnson, construction of the golf course at Darovansky dvur, began in 1997. The facility boasts practice areas, including a 300-meter driving range, and a nine-hole public golf course for beginners. The 18-hole course was completed in 2002, with renovations to greens and additional bunkers being added in 2004. Situated in Western Bohemia, some 28 kilometers from Pilsen (and 80 kilometers from Prague) and layed out among the Horni Berounka nature park, the golf course is a combination of a parkland and links style. The entire track can be classed as medium in terms of its difficulty, although it can present a sufficient challenge even for scratch golfers. In addition to lodging, the on-site Darovansky dvur hotel provides players with changing rooms, showers, and dining with a view of the course.
