You're right about Phil in your article. why he is popular, i don't know. His popularity has probably come due to the fact that he is or was assumed to be the only white American to rival Tiger Woods (a.k.a The Great White Hope in American Golf). David Duval had this same kind of popularity when he was dueling with Tiger, until he fell off the face of the gold world.
All in all, though Phil hasn't lived up to expectations and he mouth has gone off course many times with his bickering. His popuularity still remains though, and it would be a loss to see him leave the PGA Tour.

The commissioner of golf definitely cares and talks to Tiger and Phil quite regularly about matters. That is no secret!!!! Phil always got bashed for not playing outsise the USA and now he is thinking about it and you still GIVE HIM FLACK ABOUT IT !!!??Give me a break!! You are one of those few who don't like Phil and write ridiculous stuff . You should write about politics not golf.

Apparently Tucker doesn't know the POWER and POPULARITY Mickelson has over here in the states. The last 2 years haven't been successful in majors due to a wrist injury and swing changes. Phil's complaining about the rough were the feelings of MANY PGA players, He is just the better spokesperson to convey the message. Also everyone knows the FED EX schedule is troublesome for these players and too bunched with other important events which caused too many consecutive outings. You obviously are not a Phil fan and like to use your venue to spout GARBAGE about a guy who rivals Tiger's popularity with the fans.
