There is another twist to the Pavin story I believe because it was reported somewhere Sunday that his regular caddie had fallen ill overnight and the stand-by Pavin usually turns to was working for someone else. So I think it was a "raw recruit" who got him into trouble by mistakenly trying to be helpful. Imagine how that poor guy must have felt for the rest of the round. I think I'm also right in saying that Pavin and Herron got in such a mess on that hole they let the following group through, something of a rarity in a competition at this level.
