I guess you can look at it like the author does . . . or you can look at it as the ultimate test for a bunch of pampered so-called "athletes". Is a little adversity provided by Mother Nature really that bad?

You make a very valid point Tim. I think the PGA comes much too soon after the Open Championship anyway. Hardly time for me to draw breath! So move it back a bit!

No, the time slot for the PGA Championship isn't going to move. But putting the event in Tulsa in August was insane. Me thinks it was a political gift of sorts from recently departed PGA of America CEO Jim Awtrey to his cronies back in his native Oklahoma.

I completely agree with the adverts point. Here in the UK we have to sit through features about Padraig Harrington and Tiger Woods because there are no cameras pointed at the golf. There has also been way too much coverage of Tiger Woods. Even on the first day (when he was not playing well) they showed an awful lot of him.
