Tiger Woods July 9, 2008, 4:56 am

Good Article. I agree with you. It may be quite a while before we see someone compete at the same level as Tiger. Even a Tiger needs a rest.
This is a must needed rest and time of healing. Tiger will be back....better than ever!
My thought is......if Tiger can win the U.S. Open with a broken leg, maintain his focus for that long while in pain.....what will Tiger do when he is HEALTHY? It's SCARY!!!
The media keeps asking: "What will Phil do next?" We don't know.
But when we ask: "What will Tiger do next?" We know the answer to that!
HE WILL KEEP WINNING !!!!!
The formula is simple:
GOD-GIVEN TALENT + DISCIPLINE + DESIRE
+ WISDOM + PATIENCE + EXCELLENT CADDIE AND COACHES
+ GOOD FAMILY LIFE = VICTORY !!!!
Jack, Arnie, and Gary have proved that formula for themselves. The Big Three have paved the way for Tiger Woods and all the others.
Three worthy examples of how Golf should be played: With Love, Respect, Humility and Excellence. We are privileged to know them all and watch them play this great game of GOLF.
History is being made on the Tennis court and on the Golf course.
We are so privileged to watch gracious athletes at their best....and without steroids!
Stay tuned.

Tiger's view of life could change July 8, 2008, 8:31 pm

One tends to forget that Tiger has been beaten a number of times - by Phil Mickleson, for one.
In his wonderful book of a couple years ago, Arnold Palmer said that Tiger breaking Jack's record was no gimme, that Tiger's priorities might change in the course of time. Fatherhood can do that. He will be a year older by the time he's fully over this knee surgery. We'll see. His next season is one to look forward to.
