Wow have ever played golf ??? Don't get me wrong. Phil Mickelson is certainly the player I hate the most on tour, but I have no choice but to take his side on this one.
When you commit to change some aspect of your game, it always take a while before everything get together. Who told you that he wasn't working on the mental aspect of the game? that guy has a degree from Arizona State University in Psychology (1992)... I assume that he must know a little about preparation and setting is priorities!
It is not because you have some bad scores at the beginning of the year that the season is over, especially a 78 on a windy day...
come on, Why bashing on him like that. Would have been to hard to congrat Charley Hoffman for his first PGA Tour win instead ???
And oh! thanks for this brillant quote:
"How taxing could that be on a body, especially when you have an unlimited supply of spring water and a looper doing your dirty work?"
Saying things like that just tell me that you know nothing about the game of golf.
this definitly the dumbest post on SPORT I have ever read... thanks to you..
Finally, maybe you could think of writting articles about gardening or wathever... golf is definitly not a good subject for you sir.

Mike,
I always love how golfers try to defend how taxing the game can be physically. Don't let the fact you are a golf pro fool you into thinking golf is a truly grueling sport. Having played a heavy competition schedule until I was 19, it is my personal opinion the game is more grueling mentally.

For golf writers you really don't get it on this subject. Big guys, and Phil is big, playing in the wind is tougher than those short skinny fellows. The bigger you are the more the wind beats on you. Sail boats with bigger sails win the race all other things being equal. Golf is no different. You won't see Ernie, VJ, Daly, Davis, or anybody over 6' have much success in the wind. Wake up!
