Changed format and personnel July 13, 2006, 11:40 am

As long as you are changing format, maybe you can look at the content of the columns on various desination courses. It just seems like those who are visiting particularly those overseas courses, the attitude of the reviewer is questionable. It always appears that negative opinions are made due to the reviewer not getting something free. It is so evident! Have them quit the snide remarks made as a result of the courses not catering to such in-experienced writers. Re: the recent article on a trip made to Mexico, those areas are nothing but SW American and certainly differ from the make up of courses in Japan, Gr. Britain, Italy, or South AFrica. If your writers are visiting some of those older courses, originally developed during the Empire Days or the RAJ in India, consideration should be given to the social form existing there. You can't expect to be greeted like you would at an American Public course or even some of the newer Resort Courses. Be Objective and understand you are on their turf. Forget the bitterness of not having everyone "fall all over you".
Lots of luck on your new assignment. Maybe you can do something about those flashy ads of commmon courses.

I'll look forward to the new WorldGolf website, especially if there is more on golf courses around the world. I would like to hear about gems (especially little known ones!) in other countries.
I do hope we continue to get the lead editorial on a regular basis. I really enjoy those, also.
