Anyone, including the author of the article we are responding to, who diminish or dismiss the accomplishments of Phil Mickelson is being incredibly foolish. I was taken aback by the author's reference to Phil.
In addition, I'm wondering what Tiger Woods has to do (other than disappear from the face of the earth) for people like you to acknowledge his accomplishments, both on and off the course. He is a world-class athlete who is not in the news for breaking any laws, illicit behaviors in public or private establishments, etc. He is in the news for providing viable professional guidance and education for under-represented young people, opening up a once elite game to people of various economic levels, winning 49 PGA tournaments and 10 major championships, and setting 27 PGA Tour records in one year (2000).
Something tells me that if those were the 10 year achievements of any other comtemporary PGA professional of Tiger's, that person would have unprecedented appeal to you and other Tiger haters. And that brings into question the reason for your attitude about Tiger Woods.
