PGA Emulates NBA/NFL/NASCAR October 28, 2005, 5:38 am

What could Tim Fincham and Ric Carlson be thinking. The PGA has 40+ players earning in excess of $1.2 million (players earning $700,000 in 2005 may be out of a job in 2006) and they are reaching $1 billion in contributions to charity. What more profit do they need?? If they continue with their approach, Finchem and Carlson will begin to sound like the character in the movie WALL STREET (Gordon Gekko), "Greed is good."
If the LPGA want more recognition and profit, then maybe they should give exemptions to Michelle Wie and Morgan Pressel into tournaments with Annika, Natalie Gulbis, and Paula Creamer. That would probably spark a great deal of interest in, and excitement for the LPGA.

It might be time to update the name of the Gauntlet Club at St. James Plantation in North Carolina. The named changed to the Founders Club three years ago.
