Went to Scotland in 2004 - West Coast for 4 days, East Coast for 7 days. Played links courses exclusively. Found it to be a much more interesting style of golf than what we play over here (not a lot of use for the L-wedge) especially as you get nearer the greens. Without a doubt the best trip I've ever been on. There are more terrific courses than you can believe. Like beautiful settings? At least 4 of the ones we played had views that rival Pebble Beach. And on top of that, Scots absolutely love Americans. Isn't THAT refreshing!
