Is anyone as tired as I am of watching such poor TV coverage of golf. Example: Kapalua USPGA Golf Tournament, in the final round, only one player was really, really in game to take Appleby to a play off. We say so little coverage of him that I have forgotten his name! Els has hit a ball out of the park and is 3 off the tee and out of the tournament. The guy, unknown name, hits a great shot on 18 into the fairway with a chance to get on the green in 2 and birdie the hole for a playoff. We see the other two players, who are not in any way shape or form going to make any difference, hit their approach shots to the green. The guy in contention--where is his approach shot??--ESPN does not show it! NO! All of a sudden you see a ball just short of the green! Why has the TV crew been allowed to give the guy that can make the game interesting on the day--no coverage or respect! I am so tired of such poor coverage? Does anyone join me? I can go on and on wiwth examples!
I love seeing all of the famous players--but feel if a guy or woman is in the game and scoring that they should be given the respect of seeing their fine play.
Time to update the way we view golf! Anyone agree?
