Overuse of the hands is bad advice for the high amateur. Just ask yourself: are your divots in front of the ball, are you making contact on the sweet spot.

I just read where you said to use your hands for more power. I did the swoosh thing and it is louder with hands instead of using other body parts. I was taught to use the angle apprach to the ball. Of course my balls don't go very far. also, I have only been playing for AROUND THREE YEARS. YOU THINK SHOULD GIVE THIS A TRY? If I could get more distance,I could be a contender.
