As an Englishman, I visited Myrtle Beach in fall 2005, and played some inspiring golf courses. Grand Dunes was played after a night of thunderstorms, and by 1000 the course had dried out perfectly, and the staff were extremely helpful in getting us out onto the course.
There are many other very very good courses in the Beach area, and I would like to lay a bogey - many UK golfers do not believe in the World Tour - but we played it and felt it achieved everything it set out to do. It was a fantastic golfing experience, and one we will be repeating in the not too distant future.

...and if I may make one suggestion, when you go to Ireland, as many of you will do, go play Greg Norman's course on the West coast - a certain DOONBEG - and discover what links golf is all about. Outside St.Andrews - Doonbeg can only be described in one word - 'awesome'!!
