Despite our lovely golf course being ranked in the top ten in the world,
there are no proper practice facilities
for the keen golfer.
We used to be able to use the no. 2 course now called the Annesley Links,to practice on,but are no longer allowed to do so.We used to be able to
hit up to a six iron on a practice area beside the car park, but not any more.
However we have a practice 'green' for
the most important shots for all players ,chipping and putting,to work out on.Still our Golf Course , where the 'Mountain of Mourne Sweep Down to the Sea' is always a pleasure to play.

Outstanding golf. Maybe the best I've ever played.
One real problem is that the pace is extremely slow. They really pack the course with tourists. There were four groups on the 10th tee the day I played.
Great views, blind shots (but very fair if you hit it over the white stones that mark the line) and very expensive.
Play here if you can.
