Woods, Nicklaus, Hogan, Boros, Furyk, Watson, Zoeller... All a bunch of lucky guys who won with good bounces and luck!

Ok, the only gaff the USGA makes at its Opens is redefining par for the course. When a 7400 yard course is a par 72 every day, the USGA Officials come in and ignore their own recommendations for par on the two shortest par 5's and 520 yard 5's become 515 4's.
If you look over the last 10 years of US Opens, this has been the case. Just figure that each tournament's par was 288, and you will realize that the winning golfer was at -6, and not +2.
Anyway, it seems that the US Open and other majors are won by the best golfers in the world. If they weren't, my +2 butt would be out there hoping for some lucky bounces.
