Brenda,
While this concept may be foreign to you, Augusta does not invite players based on quota or an affirmative-action paradigm. You must earn your way to an invitation, and this means passing muster on the men's tour. If a woman wishes to make it into the Masters (which will never happen), she is going to have to qualify for the men's tour and work her way into the top 50 in the world or win a PGA event (which will never happen, period).
Now, go bake some cookies.

Try Depends and rehab. You're obviously on something - the fact you can't control bodily functions suggests you should seek help asap. I am concerned. Why should another female want to embarrass herself and her TOUR? Your suggestion is without merit or responsibility to your employer.
As a writer you should know better.

Nice try William. Are you just making it up on the fly or what? Ochoa has yet to even marginally dent Annika's legacy and Annika is not yet done. I guess you were on the Wie bandwagon as well. Give things time. Annika has locked up her place in history and she could not compete at a course suited to her game. Get serious and start demonstrating a grasp on reality.

I must assume that your article about Lorena Ochoa tackling the PGA tour and the Masters was intended as a tribute to her unquestioned superior play. To assume otherwise would suggest that you are in no way qualified to judge or comment up golf. The notion that even a great woman player like Ochoa could successfully compete with even mid-level male professionals is simply stupid and not to be taken seriously.

When men write they want to see a woman play at The Masters, I liken it to a whipped husband who thinks showing his feminine side to his wife's friends proves he is comfortable with himself. Ochoa doesn't belong. She hasn't earned the right. She hasn't been good long enough. Now, if they gave Annika or Nancy Lopez a shot, I'd agree with that. Their dominating records warrant it. But I can't think of any other female golfer who 'deserves' it. None would have a chance playing the course as it now stands. They are not the shotmakers the best men are. The woman are concerned with hitting the ball straight. Annika proved that such a plan brings success. I'm sure this writer was in favor of letting Michelle Wei play at Augusta. She can play it on a video game in her dorm room!

I sorta wonder about you, I was just starting to thnkyou knew golf.. but for you to suggest LPGA going against PGA.. a no brainer.. just look at these two points... the transgender person who was really a women, turned to male and now is having a baby.. what a freak.. and how about the military and the female captives.. anoher point-the swat teams thinking of having a female on it. I beleive in equal rights, but know that I cannot and do not want to compete with a man.. I enjoy having the doors opened, him paying for my meals, and most ogf all.. I know that I cannot bench press 400 lbs even if I wanted to

The PGA Tour doesn't allow appearance fees. How about some bare-bones basic research before writing such nonsense?

Why do sports writers constantly want to compete genders to prove a point? Isn't it good enough to excel in your own domain? Why do women have to beat men in order to prove that they are the best? Women competing against other women is proof enough just like men vs. men. Would you take the lower ranked PGA tour members and put them on the LPGA, just to be competitive?
Give it a rest.

Well, it's obvious you're not a woman... but now, having said that, I think the last thing these women should do is feel they have to compete against the men, it's just a lot of undue pressure for no reason... look at Michelle Wie for the answer to that one... even Annika knew when to quit on that score.
And this from a woman's perspective...
