Tiger v. Patriots January 29, 2008, 6:32 pm

by Kevin Lorenc
I like Tiger. I am a Pats fan. I think your admiration of one and not the other is a matter of subjective opinion, which you are entitled to...no matter how completely off the mark you are.
The Pats have won without superstars. Add a little more firepower from the likes of Moss, Welker, Stallworth, etc. and you've got a recipe for history...and they're doing it without grandstanding, whining about Spygate or, in general, carrying on like almost every other overexposed, overpaid NFL, NBA or MBL star I've seen in recent years.
It's easy to hate a dynasty...and someday, many will revel in their slow demise (as I did with the Yankees), but don't knock us that have stuck with the team through the bad days. Let us enjoy the ride, make the record books...then you can go root for the next underdog.

I am sure wolfrum may play golf. I would like to see him put on a helmet and uniform and get on the field with Brady and the Patriots. He may appreciate how good these players are.
I do not even like the Patriots or care that much about pro football. I have been an avid golfer for years. Just another windbag and blowhard that thinks he is a sports writer. He is probably jealous of all the beautiful women that Brady hangs around with.

can you imagine comparing the patriots and tiger woods. both runs at history are nohing short of spectacular.
your dislike of the pats is without justifiable support other than they are successful.
stick to comparing n.x.t.s to dt solo
golf balls. Thats your job

YOU ARE OVERDOING IT AS FAR AS TIGER IS CONCERNED.IT IS EASY TO ADD UP 62 WINS WHEN YOU PLAY THE SAME PREFERED GOLF COURSE YEAR IN AND YEAR OUT PLUS YOU HAVE YOUR OWN LITTLE 16 PLAYERS TOURNAMENT AND YOU ARE PLAYING AGAINST WEAKLING IN JANUARY WHILE THE REST OF THE WORLD IS PLAYING THE QUATAR OPEN.
10 YEARS ON THE PGA AND MORE THAN HALF OF THE 48 PGA TOUR SCHEDULE HAVENT SEEN TIGER ON THEIR FAIRWAYS YET.TIGER, THE PAPER TIGER OF GOLF.

Mr Joly;- I'd sure like to play a round of golf with you(from the tips), straight up golf, (I'm an 18 handicap by the way and I've been playing golf for 42 years. If we played a round like this together, and lets pick an easy little course to play, like Torrey Pines, you might, if you even made it all around, find out just how hard it is to play the kind of golf the pro's play. I think we would both be lucky to come away under 120 or 130 something. Now, if you think it's easy to come up with 62 victories, and if you can read, win them on many of the toughest pieces of ground a golf course was ever carved into, and do it in 6 years less than it took Nicklaus to reach the same level, I think you had better take a second look.. You are right about one thing. I am sure that Tiger's little girl, and his wife, and his mother, are far more important to him than to be running off to Quatar to play as a court jester for a bunch of Arabs who have been holding us all hostage for about 30 years now.. Tiger Woods doesn't have to answer to you or any other mindless dolt, he has proven himself to be the best the game has ever seen. I get the feeling there are a lot of folks out there that feel somewhat intimidated by the sheer talent, grit, and determination of this exemplory human being.... Take a second look Robert... I had thought that World Golf was about golf. You certainly know how to irritate Patriots fans. Stick to golf, and dock that writer for every subsciption you lose.

Amen! I am another irritated Patriot's fan and Tiger fan, who gets ticked off when I read articles like the Wolf's. No one says he has to watch them...can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen, better yet, go play mini-golf!
