I care if players cheat. It’s not just a media issue. It goes to core values. We have educators and politicians gobbling up great heaps of public money to build stadiums and sporting facilities because “sportsmanship” builds character. Well, we seem to have lost our way.
The Olympics get billions of taxpayer dollars, yet are so dirty that they have to have their own specialized drug testing centre. Athletes are treated like stars and given special privileges, and what do we later learn? They’re tarted up druggies. Would you invite a crack addict home to meet the family? Well, I don’t see a difference between “respectable” drug cheaters and those who are on the streets.
The street addict might break into your car or home to steal something, the pro drug cheaters (and their employers) are breaking into a much bigger cache.
As for the player named, he seems rightly mad as hell and is suing to clear his name. So far we only have the word of someone who has admitted to also cheating.
This is why I view all professional sports as tawdry. Give me back the fun and purity of the games we love.

You make a great point by wondering how many other rules golfers are prepared to break if they're willing to take performance-enhancing drugs. However, isn't this the first year where performance-enhancing drugs have actually been a) defined, and b) banned in professional golf?

where is your sense of fair play. One person makes a statement about another person and it is assumed to be true.
Guilty until proven innocent--the new constitution of the U.S.
What will you write when it is shown that the trainer didn't tell exactly the whole truth? Will you write a retraction/apology?
