Ladies Golf-Creamer & Gulbis November 13, 2007, 10:12 am

Paula's demeanor and that of Natalie Gulbis is one of the reason that I volunteer every year for the LPGA Championship, held the past few years at Bulle Rock in Maryland. The ladies (most of them) are laid back, very friendly and will go to lengths to meet fans. Morgan Pressel is also in the group of "babes" as one person commented. They play some darn good golf and they are fun to watch and be around, unlike my experience volunteering on the PGA tour. Let's go ladies!!

Paula Creamer is an ambassador of women's golf. She probably won't win 60 tournaments, can't be a Curtis Cup member or Captain, and probably won't be in the WGHOF. Sound like someone in the golfing world? Carolyn Cudone has the credentials seen above and should be in the WGHOF but has not been nominated, more's the pity.

I must say, I wouldn't ever think of Paula Creamer as a dork. She is lovely and certainly played the game of golf well over the weekend. She is a joy to watch and I am pleased she is getting good reviews. Plus, like you pointed out, she has the intiative to be herself. I wish her many, many successes.

An excellent story on Paula Creamer. She does seem to be a well grounded LPGA player who is happy to play and realizes the importance of the fans and volunteers. A thought came to me as I read the article. There is a trend to look at the parents as villains in many cases (i.e. O'Hair and Wie) but Paula's success also must be about her parents and the values that they instilled in her. A future article could be about her parents and the GREAT job they have done.

I live at BulleRock and became a big Paula Creamer fan at this past McDonald's LPGA Championship. Everything anyone heard about was the flap over Michelle Wie and her rude withdrawal from Annika's tournament. Annika alluded to a lack of class (re:Wie's lack). This would never be something Paula would be embroiled in. She has style, class, she's adorable, AND SHE CAN PLAY with the best out there.
Way to go, Paula. Can't wait to see you win at BulleRock next spring.....
