How about the US Gov't giving .37 percent of their annual budget? It would amount to a lot more than their contribution so far. How about the rest of the golfers not mentioned and what they have contributed? Just because Vijay's donations have been made public doesn't mean he has to be criticized. You media guys sure like to pick on the celebrities who at the top. Must make you feel a little more significant or something.

You have no business taking Vijay apart for donating to a disaster relief fund. How about the other players on the PGA tour.Do you have a profile on them as well? I hope not, because that too would be none of your business.I think your big problem is,SOUR GRAPES for Vijay displacing your beloved Tiger as #1 in the world.Don't worry about it,Tiger doesn't need your help.

Once again you media people show your ignorance in criticizing others for something that you have no business making any comments about. What a person does from a charity perspective is their own business and you are not the be-all and end-all judge of what they do! Do you have any idea what any of these athletes do in terms of their other donations? Probably not and you aren't even concerned about finding out. Just point fingers and hold yourself to be high and mighty so that you can be the judge! Get back to reality buddy and just do your job of reporting on the golf and golf courses. Leave the personal aspects out of your "reports" because that's not part of your job!

Who Cares Vijay January 26, 2005, 7:55 am

All Vijay really did was regift something that someone else gave to him in the first place. A sacrifice of items he would normally leave in the parking lot or locker room for us simple people to look at. No skin off his back. Tell's you where his heart is doesn't it? Then again he didn't have to give anything.....but then again that's what he did?

Why should VJ give anything at all to these muslum people, who probably consider him infidel anyway. Geeezzzz... Let the muslums take care of their own. Don't hold your breath.

I totally agree with the fact that you never hear about the muslim countries and ricj=h one at that, giving great big sums as the Christians do to all faiths and creed. That is to say that perhaps it does happen but they do not go to the highest mountain to shout about it like us.
Annonymous is the word and we should all give but not tell. Then there would be nothing to argue about.

What about the non muslims who need our help. There were a lot of those killed by the tsunami as well. Their families need our support as well so don't be so narrow minded!

People like you who judge what others give...SHOULD NOT be your concern if Vijay gives a nickel or 100K....worry about yourself and what you feel compelled to give. Bureau of Weights and Measures here or something?

Typical media - criticize those you are jealous of. Also, how can anyone make the jump from "The Bible states ..." to "that means 10%" in charity you "owe". Charity is an individual preference, including whom receives the charity. Perhaps Mr Singh feels has found a better route for his charitable dollars.
How much have you donated for African famine relief ?
