| Golf Course houses |

Of course the homeowners expect their houses to be bombarded by errant, wayward (and oftimes purposeful) shots. That's the thrill of it all. "Hey Honey, look at how this Nike lodged in the azelias". Reminds me of my friends who own a beautiful hotel on the beach, and a great house on the fairway. When I asked how I could identify their house on the course, I was told to "look for the perfect hole in the second story window". Lets see now, house near airport - plane noise. House near tracks - train noise. House on golf course - Heaven!

Wow...I too am amazed that I am in complete agreement on this one.. :-0)
I think that those neighborhoods on golf courses are ridiculous, but like you said...that is how the course makes a lot of its money... Ohmygosh...I just read your other article..and that is 2 articles in a row that I am in agreement with...the other being the Poker article... Keep up the articles, Chris...

Finally I get to agree with one of your columns. As much as these houses have paid for a lot of terribly designed courses I still think they should be built underground, or across the street.

One of the best columns I've read in awhile. Hey, I've rattled my share of homes and I carry a 10 handicap. It's just like you said, why should the average weekend golfer have to worry about hitting someone's $500,000+ house? There's already enough things to worry about....ie, do I have enough club, can I clear the water and so forth. So basically all this comes down to is DON'T buy a house 10 yards off the fairway and come out crying like a baby!!
