Wetter than an otters pocket that went down with the titanic

First time at the course and very welcoming and showed me exactly where to go. Unfortunately due to the location, the course was very wet (especially hole 17) in the middle of august. This being said, the course was still in good condition and was a credit to the green keepers to be able to keep it like this, I’ve seen a lot worse.
Some on the tee box signs are very faded and I did end up playing 8 rather than 3 but realised and came back no problem.
I’d recommend the course to anyone wanting a cheap round if they are nearby but don’t go here expecting a championship course. I’ll probably come back if working in the area again and hopefully have a bit more time to have a pint after as the clubhouse looked nice.

Very helpful pro shop staff as,their was a delay on the m4,rearranged my tee time.course presentation was excellent, some tee areas were quite worn.
Greens were remarkably fast, almost true linjs style and it was best playing bump runs rather than hitting full wedge or scoring clubs.
Enjoyed playing this course again, great value, will play it again.
Very enjoyable pint after the round

Brilliant course

Arrived this morning at 0900 , pro in pro shop was helpful with regards to where to go and stated that the 14th hole was out but didn’t charge full price due to it , greens in good condition just a little sand left on them but rolled the ball lovely , overall brilliant value for money

Stuck in time

Things move on!…Tee’s not looked after greens in nice condition. A lot of crossing over each hole made me feel like a moving target at times…club house is nice but felt clicky and unwelcoming, no caps allowed indoor to retrieve refreshments was a bit odd and old fashioned…golf moves with the time so should club house rules!

Very disappointing

We arrived at 1315 on a Sunday. Pro shop closed with no info as to for how long, and no staff around. Members we met were very friendly and helpful and showed us the way to the first tee. No signing at all.
Course in poor condition. Greens very rough indeed. Fairways were dried mud and tufted grass. Tees uncared for.

Poor greens

Tee boxes was rock hard so could not put a tee in! The greens itself was in poor condition compare to most and for £22 I expected it to be in better condition.

Great views from the course easy walking.
Clubhouse is excellent, clean and bright, good selection of beers and very high quality food.
