Great course, greens in good condition.
Can be fault the course considering the amount of rain recently. Played with very friendly member. Some holes very wet and wondered whether damage caused might be harmful to Future playing conditions. Great that it's open but at what cost. Staff all friendly and welcoming despite temporary clubhouse during refurbishment. Definitely will visit again as it is one of my local courses. Hopefully balls will not plug in next time. Great views especially on second nine. Hard going on second nine in wet conditions as it is quite hilly so be prepared for a fitness test.
Excellent greens
Even though course was wet the greens where in excellent condition, looking forward to playing in again in the summer 👍👍👍
Excellent but quite energy sapping course
Played the course for the first time following very heavy rain the previous week. Given a great welcome by bar staff. A card , pencil and map of course were shown on arrival. Parred the first and last holes which was great. Had a few pars in-between too as well as a disaster on the short 9th having waited for a shower to stop. Recovered on the 10th. The wet conditions underfoot made progress on the back nine quite strenuous at times particularly the uphill 15th and 16th. I should have looked at the aerial tour before I went really as I got a little lost a couple of times. The map shown in the bar before I set off would have been useful too as I played alone. All in all I had a great late afternoon round in pretty tough conditions but will certainly visit again using my Golf Now hot deal. I might even consider joining as I don't live far away. Quite tough for a fit 71 year old in wet conditions, but the views were superb and the course in superb condition. Friendly greenkeeper and staff too. Yes a not so little gem.
Decent 18 hole course
Beautiful course that felt like like two 9 hole courses. Front and back 9 felt very different but I’d say that the back 9 is a fantastic set of doglegs, elevations and great vistas. Views from hole 13 were breath taking
Great knock
Course Is currently in good condition for Feb, buggy is a must due to how hilly the course is however this makes a good challenge and some good blind drives.
Very scenic course and We will be revisiting in the summer.
Very good condition considering the bad weather.
Course was in very good condition. Was our first time playing here we didnt get a buggy which was a mistake. We will definitely be coming back.
Great winter course
Can not recommend this course enough, great holes with some challenging greens, beautiful scenery and very well maintained! Parts of the course are hilly but that didn't matter to us, but if you do struggle buggies are available with great buggy paths throughout the course.
Stunning course
Very much enjoyed playing here, very scenic with some great views of the estuary. Some testing holes, whole course in fantastic condition. Playing early I had the course to myself, would definitely play agsin, although it is quite expensive
Pennant Park
Challenging, well-kept course, with beautiful views. Most of the courses in Flintshire were closed today, due to heavy rain yesterday, but this course was in really good condition. Greens are perfect. Never played a hole like the 14th. It must be a 50m drop from the tee to the pin. It is very hilly. Won't need to go to the gym this week. Next time I'll get a buggy!
Pennant Park Revisited
A tiring round of golf whilst walking, self inflicted. Most enjoyable and challenging course to play, which is in an excellent condition, credit to the greens staff.
Gary duke
course is in fantastic condition greens r fast would play again back nine holes are tough but challenging
Great Course
A great course, tucked away in North Wales. Always seems too quiet for such a nice challenging course. Not that I’m complaining, price is very good, can pay a lot more for a lot worse!
Open course so not too much change of losing balls, but positional play is still important and can’t always smack drivers off the tee!
Mid week knock
Have been playing here for about 20 years off and on.
Love the course, layout, fairways views , you can’t fault the place
However...the greens aren’t the best unfortunately, they look a little ropey and they had just sanded a number of the greens which, when coupled with the dry spell that we are having, made them look even worse.in defencevthey played not too bad but it’s just such a shame that they look and play as they do or this course would be fantastic
Saying that I’m still going to come back a couple of times a year though as I love everything else about the place so please don’t be put off going.
