Chernobyl golf club

This is the worst golf course in South Wales. When we walked up to the first green and it was brown with craters, the warning signs were there. Putting in the grand canyon isn't fun. The course is incredibly challenging, I never realised it was a Links course but it's great to see nature claim back some land. I would assume whoever maintains this course is on furlough. The moon rock bunkers are an interesting feature. £22 is daylight robbery, you'd be better taking your dog for a walk here, don't ignore the negative reviews like we did, they are accurate.

Zero Course-maintenance

Greens long and spongy, but also bald. First cut was ankle deep and far too easy to lose ball. Actual rough was knee high, unkers were like cement. Appalling lack of maintenance on the course. Shame because actual layout and design is good.

Perfect weather
Walked

not a bad course but rough needs cutting as difficult to
find your ball even just off the fairway which can lead to slow play and there was too many daisies on the fairway.
Its an easy walking course as its pretty

Gone drastically downhill

Played this golf course on bank holiday Monday greens spongey fairways poor no ground person to be seen sand bunkers might have been playing off the road unfortunately this course has gone downhill drastically definitely not worth £18 a round better courses near by and surrounding areas this course has potential to be back to its finest only if owners are prepared to spend time and money on it

Challenging but fair

This is a very good day out value for money. The fairways are quite forgiving, the greens are pretty well looked after the bunkers need a lot of work and were there states there are water traps theres nothing but dried patches of mud overall though will definitely be booking again.

Well worth a try!

Not a bad course and all staff were friendly not in bad condition just need to cot the daisy that make it all most impossible to find a ball on the fairway

Below average

Decent layout and some interesting holes. Greens poorly maintained and slow. Tee boxes also in poor condition considering the long break. A shame to see a good course slowly going to ruin.

For a casual round at £14 it was ok. Not worth >£20 or if you’re looking for a well maintained course

Poor

Not even a toilet here, place looks closed.

Course in very poor condition. Greens have not been watered and were dead and burnt. Could not play on the greens as the dead grass just made the ball slip across with zero grip.

Shockingly bad

Wish I could get my money back!!!!!! Absolutely waste of money!! Hitting balls down middle of fairways and losing them! The tees are awful…….the greens are a joke!! How can I get my money back?? Terrible terrible terrible. this used to be such a lovely course! They got rid of all members here and just using it as pay and play……..soo sad!!!

Good course

It was a good course but there’s loads of room for improvement with the fairways maybe use a lighter mower the one they use have cut it up in places , sort the weeds out and sort the greens out

Doesn’t play well in the winter

This course does not hold up in winter, like many others but it cost the same amount as it did in August/ September. Reduced winter fees would go a long way. Interesting layout though, with some very short par 4’s but a few monsters too. Tee boxes should’ve been moved to winter mats as some were truly awful.

Has potential as a club

The course and club has so much potential to be a brilliant club and course but it’s so poor at the moment
Greens are poor
Pace of play was terrible
Leaves Are Everywhere
Nothing’s getting looked after well enough
The cups to the holes are as bad as crazy golf
Very wet for early October
I worry for this club and it would be a shame if it went through because it’s got massive potential
