Surrounded by the hills of West Virginia, the Woodhaven Course at the Resort at Glade Springs looks out across the Glade Creek Gorge. The golf course is the newest of the resort's three championship layouts. It has a unique design with two distinct nine-hole loops, one that overlooks the gorge and tumbles across a series of swales and one that winds through a narrow valley, twisting through mature forests filled with maple, beech, hickory, and oak trees. Natural rock gardens and colorful rhododendrons add even more beauty to the course. One of the toughest holes is the par-4 eighth, which calls for a carry over a ravine. Though the playing area is wide, the hole sharply doglegs left and features a difficult second shot no matter how much you can cut off the tee.
