Awful!
Terrible everything. You name it! Tee boxes. Fairway. Greens. Rough. All of it terrible. You can't even find your ball on the fairway there's so many weeds. Lol
What a DUMP!
Wow. I understood after playing it why the very nice starter/cashier gentleman explained the course was closing this year. Apparently the 3rd runway is requiring Port of Seattle to close it for use as wetland. It might be fair for a wetland and is better use for this "golf course."
It is what it is. Not sure there was any fairway to be found. Lots of clove fields and burned out formerly known as grass areas. Lots of dead areas in greens. Just a bad course with very little put towards maintenance. But since it is closing you can inderstand why.
Safe your time and $15.
You Pay For What You Get
Ok, this place rivaled the worst golf course I've ever played at and the only saving grace is that it is dirt cheap.
tyee
Course is closing 11/1 so not much upkeep going on. Leaky sprinklers create some wet spots but the rest of the course is very firm. Bare spots on the greens.
They should promote the loops you can play to get some quick holes in. Can play anywhere from 4 to 18 with these loops.
Great regular guy golf course
If you dress like and think you play like Rickie Fowler, stay at the Country Club. Tyee's charm is that it is no pressure, super relaxed, and the majority of people that play here don't have nose in the air attitudes , but know that we're all her to have some fun playing a round. Mark the owner and his staff are salt of the earth people, and have always been good to me and my playing partners. If you expect Augusta, it's in Georgia, Tyee's rough around the edges, like a lot of the people that play it, but it's not going to break the bank, and hey it causes you to be flexible and make adjustments. If you can't control your focus too well, and don't appreciate the roar of a 737, it's probably not for you either. Proud to be a Tyee "Regular"!
You get what you pay for
Cheap price but there was no reason to book on golf now. I payed $5 to reserve my tee time but there were no tee times. More people were shirtless than had shirts on. The course was exactly what you would expect for $10 so I didn't have a problem with that but what did bother me was the lack of rules. Groups of 6, clothing optional, and no one followed golf etiquette. Overall we made the best of it but won't ever be returning.
Just a Practice Course now
Tyee is a good place to work on your game (other than putting), nothing more. It's also a good place for beginners. For me Tyee is a better value and more worthwhile than going to a driving range. It's a 9 hole course with two sets of tees. There is a lot of uneven terrain and some challenging sidehills. Mole holes, spots of ponding water, areas of grass clippings, weeds and hard dry spots adorn the fairways. You WILL lose at least one ball here. The greens are barely better than temporary greens on most courses, but you get what you pay for and I still like to practice here.
Thirty years ago this was a nice 18 hole course I used to play with my dad, and it's sad to see what has come of it. Tyee will be closing permanently Nov. 2014.
Lost balls due to white flowers
1. Great deal for 9 holes not a true 18 hole course but 9 holes twice
2. Horrible job on the course maintenance, white flowers made it difficult to locate the ball
3. Great for beginners but be prepared to lose balls due to the trees and odd course
4. Good place for practice but go to Riverbend in Kent for a better course se price
RIP Tyee golf course
If anybody has pics of the old 18 hole course at tyee, PLEASE POST!
Tyee Valley is a GREAT deal!
Wonderful place to work on your game, if you hit an 8 iron at the right moment, you might just hit the bottom of a jetliner!

Good practice course
Cons: 9 holes; poor maintenance; planes landing/taking off; small greens; blind shots.
Pros; cheap green fee - cheaper than going to the range; not crowded.
I think of this like practicing in your backyard, except longer.
Worst course ever played
The course is not maintained at all. Fairway is not worse than my backyard, and my backyard is pretty bad. Weeds grow on greens. This course is better shut down and used for something else.
Good practice course
Good practice course for the new player. Many holes are replayed to make 18. I usually just do 9 holes. It has par 3, 4, and 5 holes. You'll get a chance to use most of your clubs. Bring some extra practice balls. When a ball goes out-of-bounds - it's usually gone for good.
This course is fun!
This course is reasonably priced and fun to play. Golf is meant to be enjoyed. At Tyee I have never felt pressure. The people are super nice and very helpful. I have played here many many times.
Coarse needs work
You get what you play for. Fairways are brown and the greens are in pretty bad shape. The best time to play this coarse is in the spring, right after the rains have came. Everything should be green.
Value for the Money
This is a nine hole course where you play twice to equal a round of golf. There are a couple of holes that have different tee box placements when you go through the second nine.
Green fees are low allowing one to play/practice often.
The course is challenging. Straight hitters won't have a problem, with the course, but if you slice or hook, better beware because your ball will get lost in the rough or through fences that surround drainage areas.
Yardage markers are hard to find making it difficult to get a good idea how far one is from the pin.
Best to bring a walking cart of rent an electric cart due to hills.
This course is cheap and great practice if you are looking to get out and swing some clubs.
We paid $5 to play here after the deal on golf now. That is cheaper than going to the driving range. The course is really dry and the ball will run forever. The greens are in better shape than they use to. They almost play like an average green now! But for $5, this was a great deal and a good time getting some practice in.
Poor - not actually 18 holes as advertised
Not great. Walked away from this course not feeling like I had played a round of golf. We were hitting into the same green as another group at one point. Some of the hole lengths were off by as much as 50 yards. We accidentally hit into the group in front of us because an uphill 320 yard par 4 actually measured at 275 once we got onto the green.
Was a good time for the price.
The course is very playable but in really poor shape. Still worth it if you get a great price. Stuff that really needs attention, weeds in/on the greens, mole hills all over.
Not for Serious Golfers
Although this course was only $15, I would not consider it a deal.
You definitely get what you pay for, which is fine if you don't take the game of golf seriously. However, if you like to play golf on courses that are kept up and maintained, this is not the course for you.
