Short and challenging.
North Bell is a open course that has shorter but quite challenging holes. They offer reasonably wide fairways with tight bunkers and some water. But the biggest obstacle in this course is the tall and thick grass that lines every hole. The biggest ups to this course is that almost every hole can be approached and played multiple ways as well as the usually fast and true greens. The biggest downs is that there is almost always wind to contend with and the back 9 is very squished together and on hole 17 it is very easy to go for the wrong green. It is though a good and fun course for all skill levels.
public golf course
great course 12 months of the year. always in great shape. restaurant food good and fair pricing. pro shop has good stock and fair pricing. staff pleasant and its always fun to play there especially if you like playing in the wind. its seems to be windy there all the time and it adds to the playability of the course. highly recommended.
Much Better
I'm a member at North Bellingham and a month ago wrote about the terrible course conditions ie.really slow greens ,and soaking wet course .Im pleased to say someone listened and for the last couple of weeks the greens have got back where they should have been since June and the course has dried up quite a bit ! I urge anyone who has stayed away to give it another shot it's a great layout, with good food and a great pro !
Really slow greens
Golf course greens are so slow they probably wouldn't register on a stimp meter! Plus the golf course is so wet you need to have waterproof shoes with spikes .After playing today my feet were soaked ! Just a reminder we haven't had rain in a couple months! I'm ashamed to say I'm a member ! Great staff ! Great food ! Nice layout ! Horrible summer time conditions!
Challenging
Great layout with beautiful views from every hole. Small well protected greens. Wind most afternoons adds to the challenge of the course.
Wonderful par 5 on No. 5 hole
Long par 5, Up, down hill, more bunkers and good view.
Course is great!!!
For the money, my friends & I don't think twice about where to play this time of year, we just go to Nb. Having a social membership is great out there but at peek hours it's cheaper to book on golf now to play there. Great site!!! (:
Great conditions for this time of year...Well maintained!!!
This course has a lot to offer... Great conditions year round...Good value...A challenging course yet can be forgiving depending on pin placements.
Beautiful views of Mt. Baker.
The course is very well laid out. Although it is very open, the lie of the land and the bunkers, as well as the shape of the greens make this a challenging and enjoyable track. Fairways are wide enough to keep it in play, though errant shots can cost a lost ball in deep grass. The greens are large and complex and in extremely good shape. I would play here often if I lived closer.
Great course.
This is a very good facililty. Easy access from the Canadian/USA border. Friendly staff in the restaurant.
bumpy greens unpredictable ,,,
waiting forever and couldn't finish our rounding.
Just ridiculous, no course marshall !
Great Links Style Course
We've played North Bellingham in the past and it never disappoints us. You want to play in the fairway because the grass is very long if you miss it, but the fairways are pretty wide on most holes. It offers water, sand and long grass as challenge. The greens were not in the best shape but we managed. It's a very walkable course!
Fantastic Experience
My friends and I drove down from Vancouver to play on this course and we were blown away by the value. For a similar course in Vancouver it would have easily been three times the price and perhaps less quality greens.
It was a great pace and well maintained greens. Definitely would go back next season.
This is an excellent course.
Pace of play was excruciatingly slow! Apparently, no marshal to keep pace of play. Group in front at least 3 holes behind and that was the front nine. Paid no attention to the groups behind nor seemed to care as evidenced by the apparent lessons being given to other members of the group.
challenging and fun course...
They had us start on the back 9 for some reason and the wind is a huge factor back there, they had punched and sanded the greens a day before I believe so that affected play but not a big deal. The bunkers and hazards are positioned right where they can do the most damage so that adds to the challenge. All in all a well maintained course and a good value for the money, I would love another crack at this links style course.
Challenging, well-maintained,and a good value
A links style course that gives the advanced golfer and the beginner" a quality experience. The irrigation and drainage, managed by the maintenance crew makes this an excellent year-round golf course. The pro shop staff provided excellent tournament experiences for the members and nonmembers alike. I would highly recommend The North Bellingham golf course To the daily player or someone looking for a club to join.
Challenging for everyone and in great shape
Greens are fast fairways perfect. Great track for all levels
a Saturday afternoon at North Bell
Course Is in great shape. Slow play was due to tournament. Played with another golf now player.
Great Value.
Great Value. Large greens, but tricky. Windy conditions make this course a challenge.
windy, but could be worse.
Everyone said "it always blows here" Today it was only 10-15mph. The crowds were light, the day sunny, Mount Baker in the distance. Very nice.
