Good value for the money
Pretty good experience for the money and the greens were great. The only pet peeve I have to say is that none of the par 3s have any distance markers other than what's stated on the card, which was always different than what was stated on the hole sign. It made it difficult to hit confidently (and there's four par 3s on the front nine!).
Target Golf
Fun course. Don't need your driver out of several tee boxes. There are a lot of environmental areas you can lose your ball in out of the tee box or on your approach shot if you go left or right. It's a great course for what I paid on golf now ($25). I don't think I would pay their full price to play there. Make sure to read the advice tips posted on the golf carts if you don't have a GPS. It tells you how far all the danger is.
Beautiful but Challenging Course
What a beautiful course! The Osprey's plays much more difficult than the course and slope ratings indicate. Even so, this is one of the nicest courses I have played in the area.
Great Place to Play
Very welcoming course! First time out in a long time. Jim was one of the most friendly starters I have ever met and provided a great insight to the course and pin locations. Tougher course than it looks. Bring a lot of golf balls or a straight drive. Thanks Ospreys for a great round!
The course is fun and flustrating
Osprey Golf course is a tough course, but for some reason I need to come back and try to tame it. Keep playing it and one day it could happen. The course is kept in great shape and fun to play, but bring a few extra balls you will need them.
Good Bang For The Buck
Course was in good condition pace of play a little slow.Staff was great but need a marshall to push play along.Overall good!
Return engagement
I had played this course when it first opened and didn't plan on returning but I'm so glad I did! The course is interesting and the pace of play was excellent. Beautiful surroundings.
Good experience
This course has a few technical holes and some narrow fairways. The fairways in spots are a little rough with in filled divots. The greens today were in great shape but the fairways were somewhat unkept. Overall the course was great the pace of play was fast and there are some difficult holes as well as easier holes to master. For a beginner to intermediate it provides a great round. Additionally the par 3"s are easily reachable for newer folders and allow more experienced folders the ability to perfect pinpoint shots for easy birdie attempts. Jim is a delightful starter and course manager and the course is scenic and gorgeous. Those fairways though!!! Keep it from 5 stars for me maybe I'm picky or just had bad luck
cute track
not very long - not good for guys who like to bomb it.
only hit driver on 4 holes. but still a good test of skills
Gimmicky Course
The course is in overall good condition, but strangely 3 of the greens were horrible with massive dead spots. There is no driving range, which was surprising. The course plays very short even from the tips with too many par 3's. Driver is barely used and most of the par 4's and 5's need only a mid iron to play with the doglegs. Even though the course was fairly crowded (which had a very slow pace) the snack stand is not open during the week.
Overall, its an interesting course with nice views to get some short game work and not a bad deal with the golfnow price, but I would not want to make it a regular play and would never pay full rate.
Best Kept Secret
This golf course was recommended by a friend and I was equally satisfied. Plays well with some challenging holes.
Course is in good condition
Overall a challenging course and fun to play. Will play again in the near future.
Nice short course..Good Value
Osprey is what I would call a target course. Unless you have very good control of your driver you should leave it in your bag. The course has trees, water and major elevation changes. Osprey is in good condition and the greens roll true but are a little slower than some courses in the area. The pace of play was perfect on the day we played and we enjoyed our round.
Room with a view
I do love this course. Leave your ego at the door. You must play the course as intended. It a tough one. Two great things are...the views and the snack bar with bathrooms you hit twice during round.
challenging course!
Leave the driver at home and be precise! Accuracy is a must on every hole. Irons get a workout on this course. Overall nice course, kind of a funny/gimmicky layout. Lots of par 3's. Conditions were nice...would play again, but not going out of my way.
Very Slow Pace of Play
Course in excellent condition. Have played Osprey before but not on a Friday. Would not play on a Friday again. Pace of play was extremely slow. Food at the course food shack is way overpriced. Will play again med-week.
Somewhat challenging course with several blind holes. Recommend this course.
This course has ok features
I has play in this course for so many times, and I am not welcome to come back anymore, because I showed up too early of
my tee time.
