Lee's Hill Golf Club in Fredericksburg, Va. sits just an hour south of Washington D.C. Since opening in 1993, it has consistently been ranked as one of the top 10 golf courses in Virginia. The course sprawls across scenic forests and natural wetlands interspersed with authentic civil war battle trenches, as well as the actual 1862 campsite of General Robert E. Lee and his troops. Bill Love designed the original layout and after the course was bought in 2007, it got a refresh that improved the conditions and increased playability. The golf course has a straightforward, classic design where water comes into play directly on six holes and lurks in the background on several others. The par-3 14th is Lee's Hill Golf Club's signature hole. You'll face an intimidating tee shot over wetlands to a two-tiered green.
