I was attending a bachelor party in Burlington, VT and this was the only course we could find within an hour that was open to the public, and let me tell you we had to search for it as we did not find it easily.
Very very happy that we did, though. Course was in immaculate condition. Not a long course by any means, but there was a ton of variety in the holes and the course was pretty challenging. The staff was very accommodating to our group of 8 and we all had an excellent time. Highly recommended if you are in the area.
OK
I was fortunate enough to come to VT for 45 days of work. I was so excited to golf New England. As I did more research, golf isn't as big as I thought in this area. This course, as far as the Burlington area, is the best public course I played. It is a fair challenge. The greens are very little and were rock hard, early season. Out of the 5 or so courses in the Burlington area, this is the one to play. Will it leave a lasting impression, no. Some nice views of Mt Mansfield and Camels Hump.
Perfect Course Conditions, Very Affordable Rates!
Williston Golf Club, in my opinion, is the best conditioned course in the area. The Family that owns the course is always on duty and keeps the course meticulously maintained. The affordable daily rates also make it an amazing value. WGC is a must play when visiting Vermont and looking for a great golf experience! The PGA Professional Staff is excellent and always willing to assist you in anyway to ensure you enjoy your day!
Great Course
Great course to play. Very well maintained. We were paired with a couple of local gentlemen who play there frequently. They were very nice to play with. Gave some insight on each of the holes -- very helpful. Would definitely play again.
In the Historic Village of Williston
We refuse to pay overpriced fees at courses that take too long to play and are often in poor condition. Williston is our first and only choice, we know that the course will be in top condition and won't cost us an arm and a leg. You can tell the family really takes pride in what they do and often you will see the owner mowing the fairways and fixing the tees until the sun goes down. The professional staff was very pleasant and accommodating to all our needs and the tavern has the best dogs in town! You'll be missing out if you choose any other course in the area!
Top Local Course in Area
Right when I walked in, I was greeted like I was a member! The staff got me right out on the tee, and the course was in beautiful shape! Ken in the Old Duffers Tavern makes the best chicken salad and cant go wrong with their Old Duffers Ale!
Can't wait to go back!!
