Wingpointe is a sprawling, 7,145-yard test (from the tips). The golf course has a distinctive, Scottish flavor and linksland character with rolling mounds, native grasses resembling Scottish straw, wildflowers and bountiful bunkering.

In addition to its links look, Wingpointe features several large lakes and acres of wetlands that attract ducks and geese. Water comes into play on 12 of the 18 holes, adding to the challenge and intrigue that has distinguished Wingpointe as a top course since opening in 1990.

Wingpointe golf course, designed by Arthur Hills, has twice been voted one of the Top 5 golf courses in Utah by Golf Magazine and was named one of the state's top 2 public-access courses by Golf Digest.

The par-4 third hole and the par-3 No. 4 hole may be the best on the course. No. 3 is a dogleg left over water, which continues down the left side of the fairway. No. 4 crosses the same lake, although it's possible to bail out to the right side and chip on.

Nice Links Course

Overall, a good value. Nice to play a links course every once in awhile. It was windy in the AM which presented some additional challenge on some holes. Fairways were in average to good condition, a few bald spots here and there. It is still spring so some of the grass in the f/w was still coming back. Greens in good condition. Most greens could be easily 3-putted if your not on your game. Would play again, very convenient to SLC airport.
