Bloomington Country Club in St. George, Utah is located along a bend in the Virgin River. When it was built in 1969, it was only the second golf course in southern Utah and the first private country club. Bill Neff, the course architect, designed it for maximum playability. The expansive layout sprawls across nearly 200 acres of lush Bermuda grass. The golf course has a more traditional design with small greens and wide fairways lined with rough and trees. Though there are carts available, it's the only truly walkable course in St. George. Bloomington Country Club is user friendly for all skill levels, offering five different sets of tees. The black tees, which stretch to over 7,000 yards, are best for single-digit handicappers while the silver tees are gentle enough for juniors. The 6,014-yard white tees are the most popular.
