The course at South Mountain Golf Club is challenging even for the most skilled of golfers. Its location in the foothill of the Wasatch Mountains gives it a rugged atmosphere and a rolling terrain that causes several elevation changes. The links-style course has undulating greens and some impressive par-3s. Although there is no water on the course there are several strategically placed bunkers situated throughout. This golf course makes straight shots a priority and it also requires a good amount of strategy. In addition to the challenging course, South Mountain Golf Club has a putting green and chipping area and it is also home to a golf school.
