The terrain around Willis is loaded with forests of dogwood, holly, and pine trees, creating the perfect environment for an Augusta National imitation. Jack Miller created just that in the 1970s, coming up with Texas National Golf Club, one of the most unusual courses in the Houston area and one of the closest comparisons to the Masters layout you'll find in Texas.
Miller's secluded layout features water on 12 holes, and the elevation changes tare reminiscent of the Hill Country. Texas National's best hole is No. 2, a 222-yard par 3 that plays over a pond.
