Editor's Note: Course closed for business in 2009
Local entrepreneur Don Goff took this former salvage yard and turned it into a nice, easy little 9-hole track. The course opened for play in January 2002 and features short holes, small greens, and two big hills that spice up the layout.
Be careful with the opening hole, as you’ll need to carry the pond to reach the green. Otherwise the course is pretty straightforward, with only two small bunkers.
Other notes: There is a practice putting green, but no driving range. The course serves sandwiches and burgers if you’re interested in a quick bite.
Getting there : Take Hwy. 69 south from Tyler for 45 miles. The course is 6.5 miles south of Jacksonville on the right side of the highway. Look for the airport sign, and the course is to the right.
