Great Course - Overpriced

This was my first time playing Woodforest Golf Club. I really like the course, but for $100.00 it is overprices vs. other courses similar in quality. I played Golf Club of Houston Tournament course for $50. Woodforest was $100. Both are great courses similar in quality but Woodforest is not twice as good a course for twice the money.
Other than being overpriced, the course is great. I played the West (9 holes) and the Front (9 holes). The conditions are very good. The greens were fantastic (quick, smooth, challenging and rolled true).
The practice area at the course is great. Great short game practice area as well a nice facilities overall.
I would highly recommend Woodforest golf club, but for the money, I would recommend other nice, high-end golf courses and save yourself a lot of money.

Fantastic Track

I shot a -2 69 from the back tees.

This might be my new favorite course in Texas. Playability is fantastic. It's 7100 yards from the tips. Many holes are risk, reward. Short Par 5's and Long par 4's. Plenty of opportunity to drive the ball 300+ yards on the majority of holes.

I will be back, you need to play this course. It will make you better.

Must Play in Montgomery TX area

Great value. Course is equal part challenge and fun to play. The Tuesday $40 deal makes it even better ! My only critical observation is the par 3 finish. Not a fan of par 3 finishing holes. But other than that, great course conditions. I would put this on your play list.

Great greens, great facility, nice design

Woodforest Golf Club prides itself on its greens and it has every reason to do so. I've never played it when the greens weren't exceptional, and that includes wintertime. In fact, they're better in February than most courses are in September. But really, Woodforest is so much more than its greens. Local Steve Elkington did a nice job with this 27-hole design with a terrific variety of long and short holes. I don't even mind that the Front Nine (if you play it as your back nine) ends with a par 3. Once the new clubhouse opens, this facility will be one of the very best in the Houston area.
