Texaco Country Club

The pictures show a decent looking course but that's just the wool over the golfers eyes. This course is in complete disrepair. Bought 18 and wanted to leave after 1. They cut the course with residential mowers. The fairways are consider good courses rough. Save your money.

Could be a great course, if someone with some money would come in and save it. Holes 11 and 12 got washed out a couple years ago in the Memorial day floods. They were never fixed and never will be. They have had temporary holes out there for over 2 years. It's a shame because 11 was what I considered this courses signature hole, now so over grown it has disappeared. Conditions right now are awful. Greens are a joke. Recently air-raided greens at an average muni are better than these. Grass on a few of the fairways was so high, that it is possible to lose balls. Some of the tee boxes have weeds so high the your tee is not long enough to to prop the ball above them. The bridge on the first hole has crumbled to pieces, so you have to take a detour on holes 1 and 9. The other bridges are shady at best and I like to say a little prayer before driving over them. The carts are hit or miss. I returned one because it was rattling so bad and was very down on power. The replacement I got had no brakes. If you do get enticed to try it out because of the cheap hot deal, bring a lot of beers and think of it like a fancy driving range. On a high note, the people there are nice and because no really anyone plays here you can play a round in 2 hours.

Had I not paid in advance I never would've walked on the course many times I thought about walking off course doing the rounds the greens were brown and dirt the fairways had weeds in them . Probably the worst course I've ever played

It might be more like Prarie Pool than PGA but we love this place. Great people, great deals on used clubs and great fun. More people need to go to keep this old relic going. I love the Texaco Golf and Country Club.

The entire course needs work, especially the greens. I was confused at Holes 11 & 12 (course rerouted) & there was no signage explaining the changes. Fairways were weedy & bunkers should be filled in or mowed. (sand had knee high weeds). Cart bridges were shaky at best & one was totally washed out. I enjoyed how fast my time was there & even with the negatives I'd play there again, esp. if they lower the price to $10.

This place is awe full It is run over by weeds. Greens are in terrible condition. Great place for a goat.

I've played in countless public courses, but this ranks in the bottom of the list. Weeds on greens, high grease on tee boxes, unplayable bunkers. I could go on, but why bother. Don't waste your time and money.

I thought this was a nice course could of had grass cut on fairways

This is a very poorly maintained golf course. What greens? It's mostly dirt... There is nothing fair about the fairways... We lost balls in the fairways often, They have had the par 5, 11th and the 12th hole closed for repairs for almost 2 years and have made zero effort to fix them. The replacement hole don't have yard markers. This at best is a 18 hole driving range.

The coarse is in horrible condition. We lost balls is the fairways. The bunkers need mowing because there is grass growing in them. The greens are hazards. Stay away.

Not the best course and the greens are pretty pour but the staff is so nice and it's really just a pace to play for a quick round. Bring bug spray and extra balls. I lost a few in the fairway haha but the owners are the nicest people and they are worth giving your money too for a few hours on their course.

I can't imagine this course is going to be open much longer. The greens are horrible and the course in general is in bad shape. The guy with the scorecards was hoarding them like they were some priceless artifact. I can't say enough bad things about my most recent trip to this course. I CAN say it wasn't worth the $10 to play it. If you just want to hit golf balls at something other than a driving range, fine. If you want to play golf at a golf course...go somewhere else and actually enjoy your round.

Quiet, hidden course where you can play at your own pace. Some of the tee boxes, greens, and fairways need maintenance but the staff are doing the best they can with their limited resources.
