Description
Formerly Tennwood Country Club, built for the employees of Tenneco Oil and Gas, Houston Oaks Country Club and Family Sports Retreat is an upscale semi-private club designed as an all-around weekend retreat. The 330-acre property is down to the 18 holes originally designed by Ralph Plummer in the 1950s with a redesign and renovation by Houston architect Baxter Spann. The golf course meanders around lakes and streams with mature live oaks lining the fairways.
